a couple more
checked out some recent stuff lately,
Disaster movie (not to be confused with disaster from my last post) they nailed the title right on the nose, i normally like this kind of spoof, (scarey movies, superhero movie, epic movie, hot shots, etc) this was a disaster for real, good luck trying to find much funny or entertaining. Saw V, this was what i expected from a saw movie, gore, mutilation, blood, dead people etc, but it picks up right at the end of IV, with no real plot of its own, these have to be watched back to back really, without all the back story this one makes no sense, its bloody and all that, but cant really be watched as a standalone. not so recent, but worth watching if you missed them, both the new hulk and the iron man movies i thought were good, indiana jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull was good even if ford is almost 100, batman the dark knight, rip heath ledger, this was his best role ever in my opinion, he made the movie. robot chicken season 3 came out, any of those are a riot including the star wars episode (robot chicken is a late night comedy central show from seth green and some other creative, if not demented writers). family guy blue harvest, family guy version of star wars ep IV, entertaining but short (i didnt know meg griffin was jackie from that 70's show). watched 3:10 to yuma with russell crowe and christian bale (batman), appaloosa (sp?) with viggo mortenson (aragorn from lord of the rings without the hair) and ed harris, both were watchable, but my fav recent western still remains the assasanation of jesse james (brad pitt). |
